Our Favorite Teacher Savings & Freebies

Aug 06, 2024

Here we go! I don’t know about you but as the summer came to an end, I was a tiny bit guilty of refusing to acknowledge the emails that started to trickle in from school administrators as well as the store shelves lined with loose leaf paper, glue sticks, and markers. However, it is time to face the reality that the 2024-2025 school year is here and no matter how far down your head is in the sand, it’s time to pull it out and get excited about it!

Yep, I said excited!  First of all, deep down you know you are ready to get back on a schedule (๐Ÿ™‹‍โ™€๏ธ).  You're also another year wiser, refreshed from break, and ready to plan and execute an amazing new school year. Finally, what teacher doesn’t get excited about buying a new planner, a fresh pack of your favorite pens, some colorful sticky notes and maybe even some new back to school outfits of our own!?

However, I know that our teacher budgets are way smaller than our teacher needs, and we are so busy that we are not always the savviest shoppers.  So, I did some research and put a list together for you of some amazing teacher discounts that you will actually use, that are more than 10% off, and that do not require you to be a “new” customer or member.

Tarte - 40% off your purchase

Ok excuse me that I just had to list this discount first when it does not in fact come from a retailer that sells school supplies.  But I was just too excited to hold back when I learned that Tarte offers this amazing 40% off discount to teachers! Not to mention that the majority of us get up and put on make-up every morning before going to work so technically make-up products are school supplies. And this discount is so easy to get and use!  On their homepage just scroll to the bottom and click on “special offers.”.  Once you click on that, you will be able to see where you can apply to receive your 40% off coupon code.  The application takes literally seconds to fill out and once you hit submit, BAM you see your coupon code.  The only catch is you can only receive one code per month, but I can live with that since they are generous enough to offer 40% off.

Target - 20% off one storewide purchase

This is a big one!  Since Target is such a diverse retailer, you can literally get just about anything you need for your classroom, especially if you shop online.  You will need to be a Target Circle Member to receive your discount, but it's totally free and signing up is easy!  Once you’ve done that just sign in to your account and verify your teacher status by completing these simple steps and your 20% off coupon will show up in your account under “Bonus.” Get it while it lasts! This one is only through 8/24/2024.

Reebok - 50% off your purchase

Getting back in the classroom means spending the majority of the day on your feet teaching, circling the room, squatting down to provide that one-on-one assistance, and power walking up and down the hall to meetings, to make copies, or just to quickly go to the bathroom. If there is one thing you need in your wardrobe, it's a good pair of supportive, comfy shoes. With Reebok’s 50% off discount, you can get those shoes at a stellar price and even grab some fitness apparel for when you are working out that stressful day at the gym!  I will admit that I was a little disappointed when I went shoe shopping online at Reebok.com to find that many of their most popular shoes are excluded from this discount, but I was still able to find some I was happy with.  In addition, you can apply the discount to almost all of the apparel including their award-winning Lux High Rise Leggings which I personally have and love!  Reebok verifies your teacher status through ID.me, an online business that helps individuals verify their identity free of charge.   Once you create your account and complete the process of verifying your teaching status, you can easily apply the 50% off discount at Reebok.com as well as search their database of other available teacher discounts.

Headspace: Sleep and Meditation App - FREE

Mindfulness is trending these days and for good reason. UCLA Health states that,

“Research in mindfulness has identified a wide range of benefits in different areas of psychological health, such as helping to decrease anxiety, depression, rumination, and emotional reactivity. Research has also shown mindfulness helps to increase well-being, positive affect, and concentration.”

I can attest that implementing a daily mindfulness practice can be life changing. Headspace offers guided meditations and practices that are easy for not only you to use and benefit from, but also that you can share with your students and bring mindfulness to your classroom.  To get started, just follow the directions to verify your teacher status and create your free educator account.

Last but not least, don't forget to head over to our free math resources library for printable resources like guides, checklists, practice worksheets and more.

I hope everyone had a great summer!  I hope you got all those summer projects done that you had planned like cleaning out your closet or painting a room.  However, if you didn’t get those projects done, you are not alone on that ship either. I had some of those planned, but did not really get those done and that’s ok because I still did some pretty amazing things and I’m sure you did too.  Now that the new school year is about to start, more amazing things are yet to come!  Happy Back to School Season!
